We welcome the Whittakers

Ellie (Rikki's sister) and Jordan have arrived from Queensland in their little Toyota Echo. No Elmo the Cat, he is staying with our grandparents in the Riverland until Ellie and Jordan find a cat-friendly home (unlike ours!).

Ellie and Jordan have felt drawn to SA and their story is to be told on Ellie's blog. They both have jobs to come to here and are looking for a house located within sensible distance of both.

Mum, Dad and other sister Anisia are grieving over their departure from Queensland and Mum's thoughts are on her blog. We feel for you all!

We rejoice that we can, so early, live out what we believe God wants us to do with our house - to use it to serve and help others. We pray the house will become a refuge and source of encouragement for people in their faith journey. Already I have a phrase I want to put on the gate when we put it up: "Enter ye via the narrow gate ...." - for our driveway is very narrow.

So welcome to the Whittakers, and we pray your time with us is blessed and a springboard to great blessing in the South.

I concur with your verse re the narrow gate....it is one of my favourite verses which for memory tells me that the gate to heaven is narrow and there are few who travel it, but the gate to hell is wide and many travel that path.....so may your new home be a blessing to those who may be used to the wider (and perhaps easier)path.
