I only noticed yesterday that our outdoor power point looks like this. Does anyone know why? I admit to being a mug electrician.
I naturally assume the socket got overloaded once. It used to run only a water pump to pump storm-water uphill to the road, but now it runs the electricity to my shed also, on a heavy-duty powerboard. The biggest drains on power I use there are probably a high-power whipper snipper (intended for a larger block of weeds / lawn!), a spotlight and a hammer drill.
