For the uninitiated, hydrocephalus was the condition of the brain that our son Caleb suffered. He died 9 June 2005 after his shunt blocked. I read with surprise and joy today of a 44 year old man who died recently but had managed to live a normal life, getting married and fathering children, despite a very large hydrocephalus resulting in a "small brain". The news story is here.
Sadly, it was not to be for our Caleb. Yet there is clearly hope for other sufferers.
And - don't let me get too angry - clear reason not to abort a baby with an in utero diagnosis of hydrocephalus.
