Before, and after, the biggest Carcassonne game ever (for us!)

Above is Anisia before our Carcassonne battle. There were well over 100 tiles with all the available expansions involved: Traders and Builders, Inns and Cathedrals, Princess and the Dragon, The Tower, King and Scout, The Count and even the River 2 (played joining the original River). The game took about 2-and-a-half hours as a 2 player game - with 2 players who took their turns quickly. The result:

... was about 440 Rikki, 380 Anisia. Clearly you aren't meant to play with all the expansions at once, but the game aspects/rules all work together with a "stacks on" game. There was no inconsistency between the Expansions.

The two Expansions that suffer the most in a "stacks on" game are the Tower and the Princess and the Dragon, as both normally create the ability to consume opposition meeples ("men" by the proper name). However, with so many extra tiles in the pack, the Dragon gets isolated miles from the action and the tower sites are too far apart / again, too far away from the action, to be a real threat. Anisia and I only built about 2-3 towers each, despite having the capacity to build 10 in our supply.

I enjoyed the game though so if any one or two are up for it, bring it on! Thanks to Anisia's special friend Kirsten for the "trial use" of her River 2 and King & Scout expansions. You're a good sport!
