The festivities began with people drifting in for a 7pm start, followed by a softball game at Berri Oval. In this first picture (above) Nanna Lambert is about to connect with the softball, sending it to Kingdom Come! (or maybe it was a bunt)
Ellie throws a dolly for husband Jordan to cane into the outfield...
Joshua chases down a ball in the outfield (above) and then holds second base (below). Josh was into everything, chasing every ball - even his own hits!
Meanwhile all-rounder Nanna pitches up a storm, here on her way to striking Kristin out (below).

Uncle Ron was very kind, giving Joshua this cricket set with a bat just the right height for him. Here we "try it out" on Nanna's back lawn.
There was plenty of activity, with:
Table Tennis
Billiards
All followed by lighting sparklers, arming with party poppers and waiting to ring in the New Year. Joshua stayed up until midnight and I captured on video (below, 4.4Mb) the lighting of the sparklers. Unfortunately our camera was full and I could not capture the death of 2006 and birth of 2007.
