A day at the beach (Glenelg)

We had a great day at the beach yesterday in 40 degree heat, and so many great photos and videos. However I'm tiring of uploading so many, so here's a shot of Anisia and I (with Joshua on my shoulders) in the typical roaring surf of Glenelg Beach.

We caught the bus, then the tram, to Glenelg; had coffee and a muffin at Starbucks while we waited for Kristin and Simeon to arrive; then we were early enough to get a great spot under the Glenelg Jetty (ie in the shade!) alongside a "inlet" of water that had formed overnight. The children could run and play in the water of this inlet whilst the adults went out to swim in the shallow waters as the tide went out. We played beach cricket, dug in the sand and then had lunch at Nando's. It was truly a wonderful family day.
